Not since the early 20th Century has the lower Mississippi River Valley flooded like it has in recent weeks. The floods have impacted the livelihoods of thousands of Arkansans covering homes farms and highways throughout the state’s Delta region. The Clinton School hosts a panel discussion about this historic flooding and its impact on the state. The panel includes: - William H. Bowen, namesake of the UALR Bowen School of Law, who discusses the 1927 Mississippi River flood from personal experience as a young boy. - Henry Himstedt, chief of Hydrology with the Little Rock District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, who discusses the Corps’ efforts to control the flooding. - Matt DeCample, spokesman for Arkansas Gov.
