Clinton Climate Initiative Press Conference
Date: 12/13/2008
Former President Bill Clinton and Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe announce a new partnership to reduce the effects of climate change in the state. The partnership is a result of a Capstone project by Clinton School student J.D. Lowery. The project partners state government and the Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI) to reduce green house gas emissions through a number of energy saving measures. Lowery, who is working in the governor’s policy office on sustainability issues for his final Capstone project, spent his summer working with CCI in Australia. He used relationships developed through both projects to help launch the new initiative.
