Corporate Media and Public Service: Is there a Connection?
Date: 2/17/2009

As editor of "The Boston Globe" since 2001, Martin Baron has led the newspaper to four Pulitzer Prizes in his short tenure. Here, Mr. Baron provides specific instances when corporate media has served the public good. He cites, for example, his newspaper's role in uncovering the Roman Catholic sex abuse scandals in the Archdiocese of Boston in 2002.
