Julie Gehrki serves as Director of the Walmart Foundation. Prior to joining the Walmart Foundation in 2008, Gehrki worked in the nonprofit community on issues of anti-racism, homelessness and community revitalization. She has also conducted program evaluation in Kenya and Tanzania. Gehrki received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religion from Rhodes College and a Master of Public Service Degree from the Clinton School of Public Service. She was also a Jane Addams-Andrew Carnegie Fellow at Indiana University’s School of Philanthropy.

A 2007 graduate of the Clinton School, Julie Gehrki serves as senior director at the Walmart Foundation, which funds initiatives focused on education, workforce development, economic opportunity, environmental sustainability, and health and wellness. Last year, Walmart and the Walmart Foundation made a $2 billion commitment through 2015 to help the 1 in 6 Americans who do not know where they will get their next meal.
