Lehrer speaks about different chapters in his book covering artists and the scientific discoveries they anticipated. From a French cuisine artist to modern rapper, Lehrer describes artists and their understanding of the mind. This understanding is what helps artist create works that will endure throughout time, Lehrer says. He also compares science and art to prove one is needed to understand the other.
